Our perfect candidate will thrive in a fun and casual environment, pay it forward daily, and add value to the company by managing and overseeing daily accounting functions for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), supervising staff, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close process, and monthly supporting schedules and reports. NOTE: This role will work in-office one to two days a week and work from home the remainder for the foreseeable future.


  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations for AR and AP related balance sheet accounts.

  • Executes activities relating to AR and AP financial data management and reporting to ensure the accurate and timely availability of appropriate financial information.

  • Develops, implements and maintains AR and AP systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

  • Provides leadership to the AR team ensuring timely, accurate and complete billing and collection.

  • Oversees AR process improvement, including implementation and management of 3rd party billing portal.

  • Manages AR aging, including review and adherence to reserve policy.

  • Oversees approval, matching, and check disbursement processes for all payable transactions.

  • Responsible for management of vendor master data, including adherence to approval process for all changes and strict adherence to payment terms.

  • Selects, hires, trains, evaluates, and develops the AR and AP teams to enhance their performance and work product.

  • Oversees management of 3rd party automated workflow approval system (Symbeo).

  • Responsible for management of Company's T&E, and various supplier card and credit programs.

  • Supports the Controller and Assistant Controller in ensuring that financial structures, systems, procedures, and controls are developed and maintained which enhance the overall financial condition of the Company while enforcing financial discipline and ensuring the security of the company's assets.

  • Provides leadership to direct reports and other associates through the implementation and reinforcement of leadership and team building principles.

  • Coordinates and manages AR and AP financial information and support to outside auditors, governmental agencies, tax consultants and other organizations.

  • Provides support to other teams to help improve business processes and systems.

  • Identifies and executes process improvements by challenging and enhancing existing policies and procedures.


Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting, along with your CPA. At least 5 years' experience in a Senior Accountant role with specific AR/AP experience. Public accounting experience highly preferred. Prior experience managing a team as this role will have two direct reports. Prior work experience with a company that is multi-location is very helpful. Excellent financial and analysis skills and a thorough background in accounting and finance principles. Strong business sense and communication skills. Experience with systems development and implementation efforts. Previous experience with Great Plains is preferred but not required.
