We have an entrepreneurial spirit that's brought us a lot of success and we're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Processor at our corporate office in Alpharetta. This role brings value daily by generating all A/R and A/P for daily ham invoicing, weekly A/R invoicing, applying cash, customer monthly statement processing, assessing customer account credit limit evaluation and set-up, conducting collection procedures, and servicing our customers promptly and courteously. Also good to know is that we have a hybrid work schedule - three days in the office and two days working from home!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Billing
Process and email invoices to Franchisees and Company stores for product purchases (hams) on a daily basis
Coordinate with outside vendors such as Distribution Centers ("DCs") on reporting requirements and discrepancies
Generate A/R customer invoices for retail orders (catering, B2B gifting, etc.), franchisee miscellaneous charges, and internal corp-use, etc.
Ensures A/R transactions are completed, recorded, and reconciled and A/R accounts are current, and payments are applied properly and in a timely manner
Oversee A/R Customer Master set up for new customer A/R accounts according to credit limit guidelines in both A/R Customer Portal/CMS and Great Plains
Process and apply customer payments (check deposits, lock box deposits, and electronic payments) accurately
Responsible for accounting activities related to A/R customer account monitoring and collection including, but are not limited to, researching unpaid invoices, documenting actions taken, and marking accounts for collections referral
Prioritize and perform collection activities including collection calls and emails, dispute research, and documenting actions
Identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities
YOUR TRACK RECORD
Minimum Associates Degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent work experience, with a broad understanding of and hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable, Business Credit, Billing and Collection. Experience with retail accounting and high volume is preferred.
Success in this role will require:
Customer Service focus, a sense of urgency, and ability to maintain confidentiality of customer records.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail is critical
Well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal with all levels of associates and customers.
Experience using software tools such as MS Excel and Word; MS Access is helpful
Experience with MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is preferred
Organized and able to handle multiple tasks and large volumes
Works collaboratively with others to accomplish goals
WHAT ELSE TO KNOW?
Due to seasonality of business, work hours are required during weeks when a major holiday occurs. Occasional overtime work required throughout the year, as needed to meet deadlines.
