We're looking for a Director, Franchise Operations to join the team. Our perfect candidate will thrive in a fun and casual environment and add value to the company by leading all aspects of franchise store operations, brand standard adherence, franchise business consultation, franchsie portfolio management, franchise sales, and development for 200+ franchise-owned stores.

This is a key role that is also responsible for leading excellence in day to day franchise operations, providing business solutions and influencing franchisees by developing a trusting and mutually beneficial working relationship. The Director is also responsible for leading (and developing!) a team of 7 to 10 Franchise Business Leaders and other operations support team members.

WHAT THIS ROLE DOES

  • Leads and inspires franchisees and franchise support team to fulfill the Vision and Mission of The Honey Baked Ham Company and serves as a role-model of its culture and values

  • Achieves sales and profit budget expectation by fostering a growth mindset among Franchise Business Leaders, Franchise Owners, and Store General Managers.

  • Leads the way by working with each market to deliver sales and profit goals and meet targeted flow-thru objectives, utilizes available reports to identify opportunities, and ensures that correct operational procedures are followed at all times to drive financial metrics

  • Leverages the Support Center resources and leadership to effectively serve and support franchise stores to assist with operational execution, local store marketing, procurement, food safety, customer experience, and technology needs.

  • Ensures all franchise stores consistently deliver the HoneyBaked Distinctive Service Experience, drives customer satisfaction, revisit intent, and likelihood to recommend through recognition, scorecard rankings, and outlier management

  • Trains and coaches Franchise Business Leaders, Franchise Owners, and Store General Managers to execute labor, food, and controllable expense systems to manage costs and increase profits

  • Ensures the execution of the Operations Excellence Review assessment tool and subsequent action planning process to drive continuous improvement

  • Develops and nurtures trusting and mutually beneficial business relationships with franchisees

  • Ensures operational, food safety, and quality assurance standards are adhered to

  • Leads market development planning, assists with site selection, guides store design, and co-leads the new restaurant store opening process with the Franchise Sales and Development team.

  • Trains, coaches, and supports new and current franchise owners with recruitment, training, systems execution, new store opening process, design, construction

  • Conducts a comprehensive annual business review of the franchisee's operational and financial performance with Franchise Business Leaders, Support Center team members and senior leadership

  • Ensures the brand's marketing calendar is executed and manages solid training and operations execution of marketing promotions

YOUR TRACK RECORD

Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), along with 5+ years of extensive multi-unit franchise leadership and operational roles preferably within the retail or restaurant industry, along with a successful track record of recruiting talent, building teams, people development and performance management.

  • Personal flexibility and comfort in managing change with little notice

  • Strong exposure to franchise restaurant organizations, field operations and leadership structures

WHAT ELSE TO KNOW?

This position does require travel - typically overnight. Travel is expected to be about 60%.
