We're looking for a Director Purchasing and Planning to join the team in our Alpharetta headquarters. Our perfect candidate will thrive in a fun and casual environment, pay it forward daily, and add value to the company by planning and leading the supply planning process for each line of business. This role will review and negotiate vendor contracts and maintain current pricing agreements while ensuring contract compliance, and manage purchase orders, coordinate and manage vendor production plan requirements and timing to align with targeted distribution plans for finished goods across the food service distributor network.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage vendor pricing agreements, contracts and communication across distributor network and HBH teams.

  • Lead monthly business reviews with key vendors to include a rolling 12-month demand planning projection to ensure adequate product supply across the distributor network.

  • Partner with distribution team and accounting in reviewing monthly price audit variance to contract pricing.

  • Interact with Retail Operations, Product Development, Marketing, and Finance to understand demand forecast drivers across all Lines of Business (LOB's).

  • Perform Demand Planning function to include review of historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and develop statistical inventory / supply planning models.

  • Manage redistribution partner planning and purchase order execution to maintain continued optimal supply levels across the HoneyBaked retail distribution network, while minimizing obsolescence and inventory risk.

  • Manage Packer planning process, track and report on production attainment and freezer program.

  • Monitor demand, vendor schedule attainment, and established, on-hand inventory targets to help provide timely inventory replenishment plans and make necessary schedule changes across the food service distributor network.

  • Execute vendor purchase orders as needed and monitor plan attainment across all vendors.

  • Manage planning calls as required for each LOB (Line of Business).

  • Provide input and direction to team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.

  • Drive continuous improvement in the demand planning process such as current process gap analysis, automation tool identification/implementation, and identification of main KPIs.

  • Deliver against annual Total Delivered Cost, inventory plans, and service level targets.

  • Improve plan performance by effectively analyzing sources of error and recommending appropriate corrective action plans.

  • Foster cross-functional discussion to improve the quality and interpretation of supply plans.

  • Lead supply chain product commercialization plan reviews inclusive of phase in/out strategies for promotional activities, new product introductions and product discontinuations.

  • Leverage the Supply Planning processes to develop Fiscal Year forecasts during the business planning cycles for all lines of business.

  • Coordinate efforts and direct communication when inventory levels are insufficient to cover demand due to finished goods or upstream raw material shortages.

YOUR TRACK RECORD

3+ years experience within Purchasing, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP or similar, along with a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related. Advanced Excel skills are critical, as is experience using Advanced Planning software tools and experience with process analysis and improvement. Consumer packaged goods experience is preferred.

WHAT ELSE TO KNOW?

There may be some travel required throughout the year - 10% or so.
