Our perfect candidate will thrive in a fun and casual environment, pay it forward daily, and add value to the company by driving employment related strategies for seasonal and year-round recruiting, onboarding, safety, and associate relations at our Plant facility and ensures all HoneyBaked employment policies and procedures are executed fairly and consistently.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design and implement recruiting strategies to enable seasonal and year-round recruiting for Plant positions. Drive the adherence to recruiting process, employment laws and regulations.

  • Manage the interview and selection process for Plant positions including seasonal hiring events.

  • Partner with the corporate HR team on salary new hire and onboarding processes; ensure employment branding is consistent with the broader HBH organization.

  • Build and maintain relationships with the area organizations, community groups and universities to build a diverse pool of applicants.

  • Manage companywide safety programs and initiatives. Create and modify existing policies to ensure the safety of both internal and external associates.

  • Partner with Benefits Manager regarding Workers' Comp related situations to minimize costs and provides solutions to business leaders on how to effectively manage on-site workers' comp claims.

  • Manage new hire processes for hourly associates at the Holland plant, including new hire paperwork, entry of new hires into payroll system and onboarding.

  • Ensure Plant Managers approve hourly time punches by the established deadline.

  • Ensure HoneyBaked's performance management policies and procedures are consistently executed including Performance Improvement Plans and Progressive Discipline documentation.

  • Manage, conduct and direct all employment investigations to ensure HBH policies and procedures are applied fairly, consistently and within legal guidelines.

  • Manage employment termination processes at the Holland plant with adherence to HoneyBaked policies and employment laws.

  • Partner with Sr. Director of HR on all year-round employment terminations by submitting a Termination Request for review/approval prior to proceeding with employment action.

  • Act as the HoneyBaked culture champion to ensure our Respectful Workplace policies, Core Values and Leadership Competencies are communicated, encouraged, developed and enforced.

  • Lead all employee engagement activities at the Holland Plant.

  • Conduct exit interviews on terminating associates and provides recap reporting.

YOUR TRACK RECORD

Bachelor's in Business, Human Resources Management or related field, along with 7+ years of HR experience with emphasis on recruiting, talent selection, employee relations, safety and compliance. In addition, this role will need 2+ years HR leadership experience in a manufacturing plant environment. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Success in this role will require:

  • Solid HR generalist knowledge of practices and regulations.

  • Good planning and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of organizational issues and how to address them.

  • Show a record of high initiative and creativity in identifying and solving HR-related problems

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and consultative/advisory skills along with a strong work ethic, initiative and drive for results.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others in a cross-functional environment while building relationships with and influencing associates at various levels.

  • Good judgment, solid problem solving and strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Intermediate skill on Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

  • Thorough knowledge of Federal and state employment laws and regulations.
